The certification process varies by the class you take. 

    1. Certified ScrumMaster (CSM®)– You must be present for and fully participate in the entire class. You will then need to take and pass the Scrum Alliance’s certification exam.
    2. Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) – You must be present for and fully participate in the entire class. Following the course, you will receive your CSPO certification. No exam is required. 
    3. Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner® (A-CSPO®) – You must be present for and fully participate in the entire class. In addition, there is a post-class case study that typically takes participants about 4 hours to complete. Upon verification of your completed case study, you will receive your certification.

No. The Scrum Alliance requires that you take the CSM course in order to be eligible to take the exam. The Scrum Alliance is the organization that provides and oversees the certification.

Yes, you are eligible for a full refund provided that you notify us of your cancellation at least 24 hours prior to the start of your course. Please note that it may take up to 7 working days to process your refund after you make the request. Alternatively, you have the option to transfer to any other available Agilists workshop.

Yes, the price includes the exam fees. Once you have completed the 14 hours of training with us, we will register you with the Scrum Alliance, and you will be eligible to take the exam. You have two opportunities to pass the exam. You must take and pass the exam within 90 days of your class.

We ask that you read the Scrum Guide in advance of class. This preparation will better enable you to succeed during the workshop. We will provide the link to the Scrum Guide with your registration confirmation.

We typically offer participants the option of taking the exam during the final hour of the course. If you opt to take it at another time, you will need to do so within 90 days of taking the class.

It is not mandatory to be from an IT background to take the CSM course or to become a ScrumMaster. While Scrum was originally intended for software development, it is now used in a wide variety of departments and industries.

You must score 74% or higher to pass the exam. The exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions, out of which 37 or more will need to be correct.
